week 14 Exemplification

          At first, we checked our exercises with friends. We have the same and different answers.  Do you know Exemplification? Let's learn it!

Exemplification writing uses specific, vivid examples for the examples for the purpose of adding more information to explain, persuade, define, or illustrate a general idea.

Here are some commonly used abbreviations and transition in Exemplification text.

• i.e. - that is (to say); in other words
• viz. - namely;it is/they are
• to illustrate
• to demonstrate

• for instance

• here are few examples

                  When we finished checking our answers,teacher Usa assigned us to read the text by skimming and find Exemplification Markers. I had to read them carefully because I often was reckless.

                   Then, we did all exercises and teacher answered them. Next, she started the new topic "Problem and Solution" by asked us to divide group to do group work in the topic 'Midterm Test failure'

She guided us by give some example on the whiteboard. I thought that I didn't understand a bit but it's not over my opportunity.I trust!

   

Tip

            People often be confused between Problem and Solution and Cause and Effect. The best way to get rid it is remember that Cause and Effect's text doesn't have solution,but Problem-Solution's text have it.

They are more difficult than other topics but I think I can deal with it because there are many things difficult than them that I have to handle it,too. I will keep fighting!!
