Comparison and contrast(continued)

The first Sunday of mak up class was here. I was very lazy but

I had to go to study because I didn't want to absent!

              We learned at 9.00 am. First, we talked about comparison and contrast continued last week ,checked exercises with a partner and wrote our answer on the whiteboard like this.

It is similarities and differences between New York and Paris subway systems.

Teacher asked represent of us to wrote main idea of text.

                 Next, we read the next text. It was Hurricane Andrew and hurricane Katrina and wrote answers of this exercise on the whiteboard.

                After that, we learned and find discourse markers and main idea in "Men and women:Do They Speak the Same Language?" I found a lot of differences between men and women such as men us language to show independence, status, and power,women use language for to establish connection and intimacy etc.

               Then teacher assighned us to wrote main idea of paragragh [8] in your own words. My answer is Men and women handle conflict differently. Next, she answers exercise until last page and assighned us to do homework by answer the questions.

My Answers

1. I agree with her.

2. Thai and American are the same personalities like women rarely tell jokes in public. Unlike men. Yes,they do. For example,men often give advice in a situation where a woman really wants emotional supports.

3. Yes.If men disagree with something,they will open his disagreement strongly but women will not.

- How to find discourse marker and there are lots of paragraphs especially in "Men and Women:Do They Speak the Same Language?" I had a headache..

-paid attention,be patient and tried to be enjoyed with them.

- What are your attitudes towards the lesson?

-I think It's a bit difficult. I can handle it in Final exam!!!
